313 Ford, Mass Production, and the Auto Industry. This paper discusses Henry Ford, mass production and the auto industry. The Model T put America on wheels, but the real revolution was the production technique developed in 1913. Ford Motor Co.'s moving assembly line, and the rapid spread of its mass-production methods, kicked the industrialization of America into overdrive and profoundly changed the way people work and live worldwide. The debate over whether the introduction of the assembly line was more a blue ribbon day for American industry, or a dark day for the American blue-collar worker, will rage on for years to come. But one thing is certain: Henry Ford's vision changed the way people thought about production, as well as the way things were made and the way people worked.

475 The Pancake House. This basic descriptive essay describes a restaurant called The Pancake House. Many people believe that a restaurant is a restaurant, but this is not true. I have been to many different restaurants in the United States, form the fanciest to the simplest and I have to say that the Pancake House is the best. The Pancake House is a family owned business that serves breakfast only. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday and I often go out of my way to go as often as I can. The Pancake House is really more than a restaurant to me. It is like visiting home. The restaurant is located in an old house. The owner once told me that the home belonged to his grandfather and when the city rezoned the area commercial they turned it into a restaurant. However, being a small house it became a small restaurant. The Pancake House seats only about 50 people and often it is so crowded that the patrons have to take a number to be able to get a seat.

Employees participate when they accede to allow themselves to be organized by an employer, and organization, which is based on consent of those being organized, is participative. In a participative organization, like that in American organization, people accept dependability for work to be done, accept that it is their job to carry out a part of the company's activities and that they will be held responsible for the quality of their work. The manager's job is to back his junior by removing barriers from the subordinate's path, the subordinate asking for such support as the need arises. The manager co-ordinates the work of the group which he manages with that of the higher group in which he is a subordinate. As work may be a source of satisfaction or of frustration, dependent on controllable conditions, the extent to which subordinates derive satisfaction from their work also adhere on their own manager's and on the organization's general style of management. To set up a cause and effect relationship, initially, you have to be capable.
